Arajet was given clearance by the Dominican Junta de Aviacion Civil (JAC) to fly from its base on the island to 30 new destinations.
The new routes include United States, Cuba, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, the Dutch Caribbean and French Caribbean Antilles.
AraJet, formerly Flycana, will use its Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft, which are being currently being prepared for service, to fly the routes from Santo Domingo’s Las Americas International Airport.
Details to the schedule and frequency of flights were not revealed but JAC’s approval was for “services of regular and non-regular air transport”.
The first flights are expected to take off in early 2022.
