Add Diddy's name to the growing list of celebrities in the mix to replace Simon Cowell on American Idol. 

The rap mogul, it seems, got a look at Cowell’s paycheck from his Idol days -– and he wants a piece of it.

“At first when people were asking me if I was interested in the job I was like no … that’s not my style,” Diddy told George Lopez on Wednesday’s Lopez Tonight. “But once I heard what Simon makes … [I] would love the job. I’ve got six kids. If I would get the same check Simon gets … we would have a ball.”

Diddy joins a slew of big names that have been bandied around since the Brit announced his departure, including Justin Timberlake, Elton John, Bret Michaels, Shanie Twain, Chris Isaak and Harry Connick, Jr.
